- Dr. Jeffrey Ashley
Jeffrey Ashley acquired his MD at University of Western Ontario for both Medical School and Residency. His special interests are Travel Medicine, Weight Loss, Immunizations and Pediatrics. Dr. Ashley is certified through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and has been practicing for 27 years.
Dr. Ashley believes in compassionate and accessible care to families in our community.
- Dr. David Caplan
David Caplan earned his MD and completed his family medicine residency through the University of Toronto. He is certified through the Canadian College of Family Physicians. Dr. Caplan has also received recognition by the Canadian College of Family Physicians as a specialist in Palliative Care.
David is the lead residency preceptor for teaching family medicine residents at the Rexdale Medical Centre. He has extensive experience treating chronic illnesses such as diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular disease. He emphasizes preventive medicine and health education, giving patients the knowledge and resources they need to improve their health and well-being.
- Dr. Ting-Wai (Joyce) Cheung
Joyce Cheung is delighted to establish her family practice at the Rexdale Medical Centre. Her Family Medicine training was based out of McMaster University. She maintains a Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Prior to completing her training in family medicine, she received her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Western Ontario. She is originally a Toronto native, and thus has decided to establish a practice in this vibrant, multicultural city she calls home.
Joyce’s special interests range from pediatrics, adolescent medicine, women’s health, adult medicine, care of the elderly and palliative medicine. She looks forward to providing comprehensive medical care for a diverse population. Her approach to medicine and patient care is holistic in nature, and she is a strong advocate for preventative health. She looks forward to meeting with you to establish a plan that meets your health care needs.
- Dr. Nicole English
Nicole English obtained her MD at University of Toronto for both Medical School and Residency. Her special interest is counselling patients from depression, anxiety and women’s health. Dr. English is certified by the Canadian College of Family physicians and has been practicing for 20 years.
Nicole’s practice philosophy is ‘control what you can control’.

Marion Kreder earned her MD at University of Toronto and completed Residency at University of Western Ontario. She is Certified through the Canadian College of Family physicians and has been practicing since 1987.

Joanna Shapiro graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1996 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at The University of Toronto in 1998. She initially practiced family academic family medicine at the Toronto Western Hospital until 2004, and then moved to Rexdale Community Health Centre in 2005.
- Dr. Timothy Chung
Timothy Chung earned his MD at the University of Toronto and completed his family medicine residency at Queen’s University. He has a special interest in palliative care, preventative care, and social determinants of health. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine and looks forward to working with you to keep you healthy.
- Dr. Erin Rosenberg
